Social Media Contest Spells Success for Global Parts Supplier
Orbit launched BestAntiqueTractor.com in June of 2010, an online social media contest site.
Lennon, MI – Steiner Tractor Parts held a nationwide antique tractor photo contest that ran from June 24, 2010 through July 31, 2010. The grand prize winner of the photo contest received bragging rights from antique tractor enthusiasts everywhere with the winning tractor photo featured on the cover of the 2011 Steiner Tractor Parts catalog, on the Steiner website properties and CD cover. Winner also received a Steiner gift bag, and a $500 gift certificate to Steiner Tractor Parts.
Orbit came thru in a pinch. With a 3 week deadline Orbit had to move fast, working closely with Steiner stakeholders to agree on brand direction, user experience, contest rules and requirements for contestant area.
In addition to meeting the deadline, Orbit provided marketing services via our Press Release services, syndicating the story to news site and blog sites including Reuters and Yahoo!
